The main decision making body of the Polish Vodka Association is the General Meeting of Members. They are attended by common members who cast votes and other members, whose role is advisory. The General Meeting of Members is convened every year.
The highest executive authority is the Board of Management. Its primary tasks include representing the Association and managing its activity in line with the resolutions of the General Meeting of Members.
The Audit Commission is appointed to supervise and control activities of PVA.
Tasks set by the General Meetings of Members and the Board can be fulfilled by Permanent Committees.
Board of Management:
Andrzej Szumowski is a lecturer of Public Relations at the Warsaw School of Economics. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Warsaw University and completed a postgraduate course in Public Relations at the Warsaw School of Economics. As the Deputy Minister at the European Integration Committee Office in 1997, he was responsible for preparing the strategy of promoting Polish accession to the EU and education in this area. He also held positions of: Expert of the Economic and Social Committee (ECOSOC) at the European Commission, Advisor to the Head of the President’s Office - Danuta Hübner, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the area of promotion of the Polish economy. Professionally, he is connected with WYBOROWA SA where he holds the position of Vice President of the Board.
Christopher Biedermann has held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Member of Management Board in CEDC since the beginning of 2005. Previously, for two years he held the position of country finance manager with General Electric Consumer & Industrial, Poland, where he managed the finance function for three production plants in Poland. From 1998 to 2003, he held a number of positions with Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (HBC) SA, among others: country chief financial officer and operations manager in Slovenia, commercial finance manager in Poland. Christopher Biedermann has an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the University of Texas.
Karol Markiewicz has held the position of Vice President of AGROS HOLDING S.A. since 2003. He is responsible for legal affairs of Polish companies from PERNOD RICARD Group. Previously, he worked as research worker in Polish Academy of Sciences and performed functions in governmental administration dealing among others with problems of Polish spirit sector. He sat on many supervisory bodies of companies with treasury participation. Lawyer, ecologist, graduated Warsaw University, H. Chodkowska High School of Management and Law in Warsaw, National School of Public Administration and postgraduate course of management at the Warsaw School of Economics
