"Water without per mill” - social responsibility in regard of consuming an alcohol on the waterside.
Social responsibility that rests at alcoholic concerns not only, but also on everyone of us is a very important aspect in life and also in education of next generations. Polish Vodka Association /PVA/ is an organization that has an aim in propagation of initiatives that have influence on formation of social attitudes, related to responsible style of alcohol consumption.
One of the key task that we undertook and continue with our partners, also this year, is campaign "Water without per mill”, which main target is to spread knowledge about dangers, that are tied in with use of alcohol on water resorts (lidos). Swimming under influence of alcohol is the most frequent cause of drownings in Poland. The alcohol, even in small amount, increase threat of loss of balance, thermal shock, loss of strengths, at once significantly keeps down ability to identification and judgment of danger level. Stepping into the water after drinking even small amount of alcohol in a sweltering day may end up tragically. Therefore in lasting holiday season warnings prior to combine element of water and alcohol is one of the PVA priorities.
